Love Song to San Francisco

I left my heart

in San Francisco

high on a hill,

it calls to me...

to be where little cable cars,

climb halfway to the stars,

the morning fog

may chill

the air.

I don't care.

My love waits there,

in San Francisco,

above the blue

and windy sea.

When I come home

to you

San Francisco,

your golden sun

will shine

for me!

(Ya gotta love this city!)

=)

PS. For those who have so kindly inquired, the colonoscopy was not bad at all. Truly. And I got a clean bill of health!

I was retching my guts out all morning yesterday, so I missed your colonoscopy post. But I was going to warn you that they're not that bad. The prep is much worse than the actual procedure.
Glad all was well.

Have to say, great SF pictures. I wish however I liked that city like you do. I'm always thankful to come the 3 or so hours to home. I do like the weather there.

It truly is a great city. I'd go back again any time.

Living in Northern California like I did in the 1940's is what it's like to really love San Francisco. We called it "The City" and you always dressed up to go there, hat and gloves, no less. It was so different than S.F. today. Going to the theater, dinner, Fisherman's Wharf, China Town was really something then. I still love it, but Dick can't understand our enchantment with that city.
Loved the pictures and love you,

Mom

I love 'The City!' Brenn had her cancer treatments there and we spent 6 weeks in the lap of luxury (at my SIL parents in Atherton) and touring the city all afternoon, just about every afternoon. Then we had to go back every 3 months for 5 years - I know I should dread it but I love the Golden Gate Bridge, am scared every time on the San Mateo Bridge, felt the earth shake just a little bit (tho' my in-laws were there for the BIG ONE in '89) and just love the feeling I get in Golden Gate Park.

If I could sing, I would sing with you.
