Ready for PriDetime: Our Son, the Scholar

Todd is studying to be a doctor.

(prostate cancer cell dividing)

Okay, how cool is this? Our son, Todd, who has been working at the University of Arizona Cancer Center as part of his extracurricular hours for applying to med school in June, just got his name on a review in the Journal of Cellular Physiology. If you click below, on the word "Abstract," you can even take a look! (Apparently, the printed copy comes out later...And you can bet I will be buying one.)

Pretty cool, right? At least, we think it is, even though he assures us he just happened to be in the right place at the right time and was lucky to be included.

(Hey, then we're proud of him for being in the right place at the right time...)

=)

Congratulations Todd A. Anderson. You are providing a valuable service to men and their prostates everywhere. I am hoping that you will continue to make prostateological history by finding a cure. Not that I have anything to worry about, my prostate is healthy as a horse ... er, horse's. Do horses have prostates? Anyway, I know mine is fine because I urinate like a racehorse several times a night. That's good, right? Or is that bad? Help Todd, I need answers.

Respectfully Submitted,

Matthew D. Anderson (contributer to no studies of any import)

THAT is really cool! I would read it, but I bet I won't understand one word of it! :)

Is it just me, or should another of my sons (he who posts as Heather but signs as Matthew) consider abandoning the field of psychotherapy for a stint at The Comedy Store?

*Note to said son* - How do you feel about euphemisms, Matt? "Elimination of waste product," for example? Or perhaps you might consider the use of one of several popular childish terms. "Piddle," for instance.

Just a thought.

That's quite and accomplishment! I saw a photo that reminded me of proctology (and in no way shape or form your son) you can see for yourself at peopleofwalmart.com

I hardly need to comment at all on this because you AND Todd know how very very proud we are of him. He is what keeps me going, as you know. I am definitely going to be around when he becomes an official M.D. And, in fact, I'm in no particular hurry because I am going to enjoy every single day until that happy graduation!!!!

How exciting! I'd be floating with pride if I were you. He's got a lot of hard work ahead of him (I am remembering from when my brother was in med school) so these little flashes of glory are what keep you going when the going gets tough. I am proud to almost know him!
