Hiking the Wind

(photo of my grandson taken by his mom's iPhone)

Hiking the Wind

The sky is in fluffy white pieces today...
a drift-covered mountain, aglow.
Watch me hike on the wind!
Let my swing fly away
till I bury both feet in cloud snow.

Perfect! I love those days with puffy clouds that look like snow. Haven't swung on a swing in a long time though. Should probably do that sometime soon. :)

The sky DOES look like snow. I couldn't figure out the end of your poem, and then I looked at the picture. Very cool.

I really like the analogy of the clouds as snow - very creative!

I am going to repeat this in the middle of the day when I am still sweating because it's still in the 90's

Oh how I would LOVE to bury my feet in a cloud!!

What I love so much about your poetry is the reminder that we should have fun with our language. Your words dance and play!
