My very best friend is a tree.
He lifts me up and sets me free.
In his strong arms, the sun draws nigh;
his leafy patterns paint the sky.
My dark blue skies turn brighter then,
And my poor heart grows green again.
The wonder of it heals my soul;
and I rise up and find me whole.

I spent some quality time among the trees yesterday. It always does me good.

What did you do/where did you go? It sounds soothing and wonderful.
Ah, trees. Can't imagine life without them!
A beautiful poem Sue. I might go hug one of my trees today,

As usual I always love your poetry, writing and thoughts.
I loved the pictures you shared and I think i will take a moment and enjoy sitting under a shade tree and just meditating or perhaps sleeping.
Blessings to you!
i love trees too!
I love trees! The bigger the better. And I was pretty old when I quit climbing them--and then it was only because people looked at me funny when they saw me up in one.
Everyone ought to spend quality time with nature as much as possible! Lovely poem about tree.
yay for trees!
I up for hugging a tree..climbing one, not so much anymore! I'll leave that up to the grandkiddos to enjoy! Cute poem Sue...
This is really beautiful, Sue. It's a great reminder to just look around. Trees are such a gift.

I am so much the same way....beautiful words, Sue.
Oh, I love the trees too. But I definitely have a deeper appreciation for them in the desert. I don't know what we'd do without them around our house. They keep it much cooler than without I'm sure.
