Christmas Dreams

Outside my window...
the sky is blue and the robins are singing.

I am thinking...
of the beauty that surrounds me every day.

I am thankful...
for home and family.

I am praying...
for my children's dreams to come true.

I am reading...
nothing at all right now. Too busy decorating!

I am creating...
my Christmas Eve story for this year,
our annual Christmas card poem,
and a new Christmas playlist (coming soon).

From the kitchen...
early morning sounds from my son,
who spent a late night helping me decorate the Christmas tree.

Around the house...
I can see every Christmas decoration I own, all in disarray.

One of my favorite things...
the golden triad: yummy candle, soft throw, good book.

A few plans for the coming weeks...
to relax, cultivate, and enjoy the spirit of Christmas.

Cozy up, everyone. The fun's about to begin!!

=)

I just finally found a few of my Christmas boxes. Huzzah!

Sounds like things are cozy at your house....

Wow! Am I ever envious of your beautifully decorated home. It is the evening of Dec 8 and I realize I have lost almost a week of reading your blog or even sneaking a minute to get on the computer. I have been so engrossed with my early baking....crazy time here. I would love to have my place peaceful and restful and all those good sounding adjectives to describe a perfectly wonderful Christmas environment, but, alas, my tree is half done (most of the decorations still in boxes on the dining room table. My kitchen is full of dirty dishes left from todays baking.....and so it goes, but I decided if I didn't take a little time while Dick is watching his way behind taped programs of Fox News to at least read your blog, I would never get to it. One thing, when I am this late, no one will be reading my comments to these older blogs, so it is like writing a private note, or is it? At any rate, I am glad that you are so way ahead of me. You deserve it after all you have been through since the Thanksgiving crowd descended on you. I hope you can have a wee bit of a rest until the Christmas crowd makes their appearance. I know that will be another great time for you. It is wonderful to have family near, especially on Holidays. enough already
