Talk to the hand,
but hurry.
It's about to disappear
inside a rush of light
so bright
it melts my skin.
And there are secrets
to unfold.
Mysteries, washed in
gold and hidden
from my view.
Unknown, like you.

Looks like my new poetry website will be up and running sometime next week. It looks great, and I'm excited to welcome you there! Still have some work to do, but I couldn't be happier with the results. Anyway, hope you will take a minute to stop by susannoyesandersonpoems.com once it goes live. (Or now, for that matter. If you click over today, you can check out the old site and compare it to the new one when it debuts.)

Very nice photo and text !
I love this. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog.
Lovely photo and poem :)
I love the feeling that there are still undiscovered mysteries out there. Even at our age, we still like to think there remain unknown delights and discoveries waiting for us - hopefully gold-washed. I never grow out of being ever hopeful.
Said to perfection! Looking forward to the new site......!!
My feelings exactly! Perfect back story!
Beautiful piece, Sue.
Photo and verse perfectly matched!
Love it! the photo and the poem are both great...
what a rather mysterious verse...
the first line made me laugh because it is usually a snarky remark....but i like the mysteries in life...and the unfolding of them....smiles.

The opening was interesting..and I do like it when secrets unfold..the mysteries of life await..
Love the pic!and poem:) Thanks for commenting on my blog!
Yes, wonderful poem, I love the language of the hands!
The poem is magical! Did the photo inspire the poem, or did you write the poem and then search for the photo?
I hardly know what to say. The photo and poem are perfect!
Very mysterious! :)
We do only have so much time on earth to find those mysteries and time seems to dissolve like that lovely sunny moment.
Thanks for this one, Sue! :)
A very haunting and beautiful piece, Sue!
so, when you hold your hand over your flashlight, can you see through it?? Why can't I see my bones in there? Leftover thoughts from my childhood...
Prepare for revelation...
very beautiful take on the prompt...your words match the photo perfectly.
love how well you remind us of all the mysteries of life...i think they are all out there just awaiting us to venture far enough out to discover them!
