I'm waiting for my master,

I'm waiting for my master,
but the rascal doesn't care.
I wish he'd get here faster,
but I haven't got a prayer.
He takes me quite for granted,
though I'm at his beck and call.
So call me disenchanted.
Mine's a dog's life after all.

Oh you poor little sweet thing, I'll be a good master for you, if you ever leave! :)
Way cool!!!
Lovely stuff! Poor doggie's resigned himself to the wuff life!
ha. a dogs life surely...smiles...nice last line...i hope he gets a good belly rub and is not taken for granted long...
I was left swinging over who is really the master here !
Ah, poor little doggy. (My foot.) They know how to get their way only too well. And what is he doing sitting ON the sofa?
Nice poem, Sue.
Great rhythm and rhyme.
Poor baby! I always feel bad for Eddy when everyone's gone for the day. He gets tons of attention later on and frankly, if I were a dog, I would love to have me and family for my owners!
Hound dog...
Wonderful, as always! Our dog does (or should) not have that complaint as she is quite spoiled and the princess of the house!

Poor pooch. I hope he doesn't have to 'go'.
My husband will enjoy this one. I loved the picture and well of course your magic with words.
I am back reading posts and I have so missed yours.
Love, hugs and blessings for you!
