Buy Me Some Peanuts!

Anybody know what this is?
(World Series champs, baby!)

And this lovely view?

Straight from my seat at the ball game yesterday.

AT&T Park rocks...even from the nosebleed section!

(And my nose was definitely bleeding up there...)

But it sure wasn't out of joint!

How could it be?

This place is gorgeous.

And the fans are happy.

And plentiful.
(Sold out, every night!)

Even when we lose.
(Which we, admittedly, did.)

Sure, we took an early lead...

But those dang Padres caught up with us.

They tied it up.

Then had the audacity to pull ahead.

We almost caught 'em, though.

We rallied.

And rallied.

And rallied some more...

But we couldn't quite pull it off.

Our Giants left the bases loaded in the 9th inning. "/

Afterwards, the seagulls swooped in.
(They're hungry, win or lose.)

Can you see all those little white dots flying around?

(Maybe this cropped shot will make it easier.)

It's like a scene from a Hitchcock movie: The Birds.

Pretty neat.

We enjoyed the view from outside, too.
(This is one COOL COLD place to be.)

Even in the midst of a San Francisco summer!

=)

But what a perfect way to spend a summer evening - well near perfect. Perfect if they'd won. But at least the contest was between two CALIFORNIA teams - can't get overly upset about that.
I've been looking at the temps where you are - I've been a little envious as we are roasting down here. But that's good news for your family reunion. I doubt it will be cloudy every day like last year.

How fun for you! And I love that the stadium is right next to a canal? Whatever it is, it is beautiful. And it looked like you had a blast, seagulls and all. :)

I love the atmosphere, hate the long games. I'm glad you had fun.

When you have such a beautiful field and the fun atmosphere of the game, how can you go wrong? Looks like a great way to spend an evening.

It sounds like you enjoyed the game even though they lost. Darn!! Did you have to suffer any ill effects from sitting outside so long? Even if you were in the shade, you are still subject to a bit of sun. I'll bet you were pretty tired by the time you got home.

The Giants stadium is soooo beautiful! I have never seen it in person. It would be a hard thing to get me to another baseball game. We used to go once in a while, but baseball is just too slow a game for me. I can watch it for a little while but then I get antsy. Funny, football and basketball games don't affect me that way in the least. I really enjoy those games. Rich used to play baseball too. Those little league games were okay but even they seemed a bit too slow for me. I guess I just like fast action!!

Are you going to any of the rest of the games????

As a kiddo I would hop the bus with my Sis and friends and head downtown to Wrigley Field and watch the cubs play. Then hit the train for home..and all that at 11yrs. old! I would never let my boys do that at that age. Times have changed. Also, these days I enjoy a good ball park hotdog more than the game...I'm like your Mom, it's a bit too slow for me! Funny, when I was young and fast, the game was a hit...now I'm old and slow and it's too slow too! I'm sure there is a lesson or story here somewhere..hmmmm. Your pics are great though and the stadium is beautiful. Glad you had a great time, sorry they lost...dang.

I enjoy baseball very much...we were just talking about taking the yahoos to a Sky Sox game next week. This reminds me to look at the game schedule and get those tickets! Of course, it'd be nice to see the Rockies too.
You always have a great time and fun adventures!

What a beautiful ball park! Sorry you lost...next time...unless you play the Red Sox and then I will have to insist you lose again...you can beat those pesky Yankee's though.

That's one thing I'll miss about KC...the once a year trips to the Royal's games...even though they hardly ever won, but that's another story!
Yeah for a night at the old ball game!!! Even with the creepy birds.... :)

Wow, what a wonderful time you must have had. The pictures were awesome.
I was actually raise on a baseball field. At least I spent a lot of time playing under the bleachers. My Dad coached our small town team for years and we also went to all of my two brothers games.
I do love baseball. I love to watch my grandchildren play baseball the best.
Thanks, for some memories!

What a beautiful stadium!! And you sure made the game look fun...I've never been to a game, isn't that just horrid. My husband says all the time how he needs to take our daughter to one and I always say, "What?! Take me, take me!!!" :) I know if nothing else, the people watching would be fun. :) Looks like you had a great night!!

What I used to love about seeing ball games live was how brilliant the colors were and how all the stadium and ball playing sounds were so clear and loud.....and then came HD TV!

The only thing that would have been better in this post is if it had been a Red Sox game. What can I say? Never lost the born-in-Boston blood. :)

That is a very pretty ball park, but look at all those people. How do you ever get in and out of the place? I am glad you had a good time despite the nose bleed. Great pictures! Hugs

One of my favorite places to go! There really isn't a bad seat in the whole place! I've been on the east coast for 2 weeks and haven't seen one Giant's game the whole time - but Ray sends me text updates regularly. It's amazing that those seagulls know when the game is supposed to be over and start gathering somewhere around the top of the 9th inning! Go Giants!

Oh my goodness I am living vicariously through you!! My husband and I both LOVE baseball. He's a total FANATIC and I love it too although I just like being able to say "Oh! I know who is up to bat!" :))
Looks like such fun!! We are going to take the children to a game at Camden Yards once Oliver is a bit bigger! :) So glad you guys had fun!

I LOVE San Francisco - this almost makes me homesick. My grandparents lived just outside of San Francisco and my sister and I used to spend summers with them. Since they passed away we seldom get back - but now I REALLY want to!

Nothing like a ballgame in the summer time - I could do it almost every day!
