Mr. Sandman Strikes Again

For my grandson, happiness is a warm, cushy stair at bedtime.

∞§∞

Up the stairs with golden dust

the sandman softly sweeps.

He sprinkles magic from his hand

until the whole world sleeps.

He's adorable. I can't believe he fell asleep on the stairs.

I love how little ones can fall asleep anywhere, anytime.

That must be little Brycie. Did he actually fall asleep on that stair? Sometimes I think that's what I should do....just fall asleep where ever I am because by the time I finally make it to bed, I have insomnia!

I have a similar picture of Lily doing just that. How do they fall asleep just anywhere?
Two words: sacrament meeting.
Now I get it!

Very cute..as long as he doesn't turn over! The poem is cute too, but it makes me think of two of my grandkiddos who get creeped out by the idea of something (Easter Bunny), or someone (Santa) sneeking around their house..they crack me up!

How precious this is girl!!! It reminds me of when one of mine was a tot and I found him rolled up in the kitchen throw rug sound asleep...right there in front of the sink!

Thanks for sharin' sweetie!

God bless and have a glorious day!!!

That is just so darling. That reminds me of your sister,Jayne. She went to sleep once right in the middle of the dance floor one night at a ward dance. Nobody wanted to wake her up, so we just danced around her. Maybe you remember this too. And by the way, as you know, at her age of 50 she still has that ability.

I just told my kids about the sandman recently. They were fascinated. They said, "Mom, is that true?" I just shrugged and said, "that's what they say..."

Oh that is so cute! I am just wondering why he decided to stop in the middle of the stairs rather than continue on to the top. And what a sweet poem!

Absolutely precious, this is!!! What a wonderful photo!! I'd frame it if I were you....that would be nice next to your bed so that you could smile looking at it before you go to bed!!!!

Oh my, that is too cute! I don't think either of my kids have ever fallen asleep on the stairs, but once my daughter fell asleep under a coffee table :)

Oh, I loved this post Sue. I have a shot of Cait when she was about that age in almost the exact same position. She could always fall asleep anytime, anywhere. Thanks for the smile. Kat

I have some fun memories of my kids not quite making it to bed...or falling asleep in a high chair or in a basket of blankets. I think they never slept so when it finally hit them...they crashed any where.

It always amazes me where kids will conk out. THe other day my son fell asleep on a folding chair. Crazy!

I sometimes wish my children would fall asleep on the WAY to bed! :) he he he. How cute is that! p.s. cute choice of music too!

I love that ability that some people have to fall asleep anywhere- apparently your Bryce has it, lucky boy.

I learned something important about the sand man- he's frequently tardy to my child's room! Cause you can lead a girl to bed, but you can't make her sleep- am I right?
