It is so great to see a project like this. This past weekend our ward youth did a service project as part of their youth conference for my parents; painting and organizing for them. What a great gift-- to my parents and the young men and women.
We just finished the helping hands here a few weeks ago. Someone asked a visiting GA at our recent stake conf here, why if service is suppose to be humble and secret, does our church want to put on vests and show the world? The answer was, yes, anonymous service is the best, but sometimes we need to let our light shine and show the world who we are. I like that, hoping it will take some of the mystery away about us Mormons. There is so much bad said about our church from those who don't have a clue about us.
I liked seeing on your blog how the goodness just keeps spreading.
You are so good to take pictures and encourage service. I have recently felt like I am lacking in the service department and need to get out and help others. Thanks for your blog and always motivating me!
Our big service thing for Youth Conference was this last weekend. My brother was there for his ward (his ward and my ward share our building) and he said it was a great success. Those things are always fun. You may not want to be there when it starts, but by the time it ends, you're glad you were part of it.
Nice finger star! I've never seen that before - I think my kids will get a kick out of that. And hopefully, they'll get a kick out of the joy that comes from helping others too.
I love that there are even yellow vests too- like Jill said, sometimes we need to let our light shine (and sometimes with youth you just need to keep track quickly and easily). way to serve and do good!
I love that with the end of the school year we see many "helping hands" gathered together to offer service - you can't beat that great feeling. The euphoria of hard work :)
Not too long ago our Stake had a Helping Hands Day and let me tell you it wasn't just for the youth. I would have loved to participate, but I'm not much good in that department. Dick was there all day, and they really did accomplish so much. They actually had more people come than was needed, but they managed to find things for them to do. They had many different things going at once and Dick drove the photographer around to all the sights. He really did enjoy it.

Helping others is so rewarding! It's also something I should do more of! Love the finger star!
Happiness really does come through service. It is so awesome when the youth do a service project.
Blessings to you! LeAnn
Looks fun. We had one of those days here too. We really enjoyed it.

Helping always gives back in so many ways!
That's lovely!
Great pictures! I love it when the kids get excited about service.

I've always found that youth love to serve others more than they like to have fun. Especially young adults. Glad they did some good in the world!
I actually love the finger star.
