poem by Susan Noyes Anderson
It's found in the tilt of a curly head,
the line of a jaw or chin.
The family tie is ancient, eternal,
and welcomes the stranger in.
This charming photo was taken in Italy. What do you think?
Brother and sister? Father and daughter? Uncle and niece?
Whatever the relationship, the family resemblance is ours to enjoy.
And the love, too.
See?
Quite
simply,
beautiful.

I loved that image from your book! And Heather's photos are, of course, amazing. I can't wait for ours to show up on her blog!
What about the four brothers? Maybe it's because I have four boys, but I love that one.
When can I come hang out in your kitchen?
Beautiful! As always!
Family is what it's all about!
Such gorgeous pictures.
When I see my mom or dad, I'm always amazed to see myself in them. Genetics and the Spirit are pretty amazing.
I love all of those pictures.
I know the second to last picture belongs to you. Beautiful grandchildren! But are any of the others related to you??
Great pictures for Great Poetry
I find it very cool to look at my cousins and see a similarity we have. Maybe it's the way we tilt our head when we talk or something in the way our shoulders look similar...that familiarity is very bonding.
Neat post.
Oh, my gosh those pictures are precious. I love them; thanks for sharing.
Love and hugs to you! LeAnn
It's crazy how we are so similar even through generations and new genes added to the pool, so to speak. I love photos of siblings and cousins- seeing all of the similarities and differences- amazing!
All of these pictures are wonderful. Hugs
This was such a sweet post!!!
I love all of the pictures!
Hi Sue! OK, I'm back in the blogging world-our trip took me away for a bit. I'm trying to get caught up on your blog now. I love all these family photos! I can't wait to see how ours turned out. It was so nice meeting Heather.
