An Ocean View

An ocean view uplifts the soul

from any vantage point.

Framed in ancient, rugged rock...

or nestled in between the clouds and sand...

the sea is grand.

Each gentle, rolling wave swirls free
(lifts me)

to rise and fall and swell in morning light...

or dark of night.

Talk about some great pictures!! Wow. If these were all framed and on a wall, I think I could just sit and stare and ponder....

Where is that particular ocean view? I love the poem.

The images are so soothing and lovely. Makes me want to go to the beach. As always, you have a wonderful way with words. They paint images.

Is this in California? Gorgeous.

All of these pictures breathe air into me. There is something so incredible about the ocean. My heart is smiling after reading much of your blog - and linking to others to read you. You are so amazing and talented. Thanks for all of your support - you are currently my one and only faithful fan and I LOVE YOU for that and for just being the true and genuine sweetie that you are. You amaze me.

Oh I so agree. I adore the ocean. It's a rare view for me... but I have to say that I think the mountains can do the exact same thing.

I can almost smell the ocean through these photos and words. That last photo looks like it's off the Oregon coast...at Bandon or Haystack.

Love the pictures to illustrate your words.

Good call, Cheryl. The last one is Haystack in Oregon. All of the rest are near the Santa Cruz mountains in Northern California.

Love love love the ocean, no matter where it may be. Great words of yours too. They do describe the pictures so perfectly It won't be long before we will get our fix in Newport. I love the ocean there, just wish it were closer to the beach house. That expanse of pure sand is just too much for me to try to walk in. I really love those photos, and yes, I agree with Jill, they would make beautiful wall pictures.

Sue I love the photographs and I really can relate to the post.
Everytime I have a chance to be at the ocean I could literally sit for hours and just listen to the waves crash.
There is something so soothing to the soul, something that reaches right down into the very depths of me and helps heal and brings wonderful feelings.
The ocean is indeed magical!

I was just thinking today how much I want to go to the beach again. I have only been there once. Now my soul longs for it! And yet, I have only been there once...
Soon, I hope.

Such beautiful photos - the sea is always so restful and calming to me, even if it's an angry type sea - just the sounds of the seashore make me relax . . . ahhhh!

We met Heather yesterday at the beach. As we parked and got out of our cars, each one of us sniffed the salty air and instantly relaxed. It's my happy place.
