Election Reflection

Donald J. Trump,
too often a chump.
Both his hair and his skin
are a trifle too thin.
Hillary Clinton,
determined to win one.
Her perception of truth
is a little uncouth.
John or Jane Doe,
nominees we don't know.
We wish they were running,
and that ain't just funning.
Assignment: Write a clerihew, a comic verse on biographical topics consisting of two couplets and a specific rhyming scheme. (I have combined three clerihews to form one poem.)

Yep, nope and noper are running and frankly I can't believe in this whole country that's the best we've got...that's truly a joke! May the force be with us!
Yes. We are going to need it!
Oh, this is the truth. You captured this one perfectly. Hugs for the truth and the humor!
I shiver of what will happen to the world... I do... This is when the two-party system show when it's weakest.
A very curious election... think everyone is watching with interest.
Each election is getting worse with the rise of the internet news cycle.
my comments aren'/t going thru...but really enjoyed this!
Ok it finally worked. Each election rips the bandaid off the chaos of this country. I can't find a sane reason to Vote for either one.
Your clerihew are fun, with a political bite t them; much like my own. You aced the prompt & made some salient points as well.
Great use of the form. This is a weird election cycle, for sure.
Love your sense of humor in the form Sue ~ Am glad that I am not in the USA, smiles.
Chuckles! Wonderful humor on such a serious subject. Things are not so heated up unlike the previous times leading to the debate!
Hank
Humour can be helpful in times like these!
So glad I live in Canada...much more freedom in the political world. I fear for what the winds will blow our way. Scary stuff.
Even your title rhymes, awesome!
hahaha
Election is a nightmare, but you do have a way with words Sue!
Thanks for the laugh.....though I do worry about the outcome of your election.
