Lucky Lucy

I'm celebrating Jenny's 100th Saturday Centus from the shores of Maui today, but I'll be winging my way home in a couple of hours. Better get a move on, eh? The prompt (which happens to be an incredibly long one) is in red. Thanks for all the good times, Jenny!

My untied shoelace changed my life. As I leaned down to re-tie it, I kicked away a few leaves. When I turned my head slightly to look where the leaves had been, I was astonished to see a rubber-banded wad of hundred dollar bills nestled in a little indention in the muddy ground. As always, I wrote a little poem to mark the occasion:

Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers
©201$ by Lucky Lucy

Lookie-look what I have found.
A roll of C-notes on the ground.
You know I’ll throw some dough around.
In for a penny, in for a pound.

Wad ‘em up and watch ‘em wrinkle.
Squeeze ‘em tight and hear ‘em crinkle.
Benjamins make my eyes twinkle.
(I’m so happy I could tinkle!)

Oh Sue, you really got us laughing that time. I laughed so loud that Dick had to come and see what it was all about. After I read it to him, we both laughed all over again. What a great way to start our afternoon. Laughing is really great therapy and I think I needed it. We are waiting for the gang to arrive from Temecula. It's funny but Matt said that he had to move someone this morning before they could come and Dick had to do the same thing!! Matt must have finished first because he called Dick and told him they were watching the first session of Conference and then they would be on their way. That means they could arrive any minute. I don't know whether they will have read this, so I am going to leave it on so they can come in and read it before they jump into the pool.

It was a great post for Jenny's one hundreth anniversary.

I have to say that if I found a roll of C-notes I'd want I'd be so happy I'd probably tinkle too! Cute and clever -especially on your last day in Maui! So glad you had such a wonderful vacation there - it sounded (and looked) wonderful! Safe travels...
