Happiness is Gratitude on a Platter

I really do believe that happiness is gratitude on a platter, but today I can state with a high degree of certainty that happiness is also gratitude FOR a platter! Yes, my friends, I happen to have found the perfect turkey platter...the one I have dreamed of all my life...the one that is (brace yourselves) nearly 22 inches long and looks like Thanksgiving personified! Or maybe I should say, "platterified."

Of course, the best part of all is that I found this baby on e-bay and made it mine for the paltry sum of......wait for it......$12.99. And today that is making me both grateful AND happy.

=)

PS. I know. Grateful, happy people shouldn't gloat.

PPS. I'm working on that. ;)

"Platterfied"
Must find a way to fit that into my conversations at least 3 times today.

Are you kidding me?!?!? Finding the perfect serving dish for $12.99 -- that's definitely gloat-worthy! Congrats!! I'm sure your turkey will taste better than usual this year.

And I'm w/Lisa Loo -- "Platterfied" is the word of the day...maybe even word of the month:)

I will forgive the gloat because that platter is magnificent! I should go on EBay more. I had my butter dish success but it was so nervewracking. I just hate to lose. I'm like that with video games too, so I tend to avoid them as well.

You've waited all your life for that plate? Wow. A life-long dream fulfilled, and we're all witnesses.
Cue the band and the fireworks!

Sue, you brought a quick smile to my face today. I love the platter; what I find. Thanks for sharing the picture. I love this time of year and look forward to the day of Thanksgiving. I always love your thoughts.
Blessings to you! LeAnn

I love it! It looks vintage, like something from the 1950s.

So, you eat the turkey, and when it is all gone, the turkey in its glory days is looking back at you, making you oh so glad it is Thanksgiving and nothing says it better than that platter! (that sentence really got away from me.) And I am not being sarcastic at all. It is a beauty. Any turkey should be so lucky as to be served up with all that beauty and glory!

Yeah, the platter is pretty neat. Better still, what a bargain!! I guess I should go on EBay just to see what it's like. I have just recently got enough nerve to go on Amazon.com.

You have always been so lucky with EBay. I remember you every time I use my cake pan (and I use it often)

We are so much alike, Sue! For YEARS, I used a white PLASTIC turkey platter because I couldn't justify spending a lot on something I'd use once or twice a year. A couple of years ago, I came across the Martha Stewart turkey platter, on sale at Macy's for $8.00 and I bought that baby right then and there! :) It makes me happy, too! Congrats to you! I can feel your happiness through my laptop! :)

How cool. I love it when you get a great deal on something you really want! Congrats. And gloating is allowed. And just in time!!!
Yay! I'm looking for a pampered chef apple pealer/corer thing. If you happen to find one....

12.99! How can you beat that. Oh how I love eBay and Etsy. I'm a sucker for any online store!
