All's Well That Ends Well...(& a b-day P.S.)

I got busy and forgot to take pictures until the party was over.

It was a big gang, and they were hungry!

160 pieces of pizza lost their lives, minus a few leftovers.

(Actually, those passed on, too, before the evening was over...

eaten by a few stragglers who stayed till the bitter end...

and were willing to pose for me.) thanks guys

The other final few had already left their cozy spots by the fire

to stand around a bigger, better one, (the rain stopped)

play ping pong,

and just hang around on the back patio shootin' the breeze.

A good time was had by all.

(I even had fun playing a GAME...which is surprising,
because I am not a game person...
but Apples to Apples is waaaay better than most.)
I was almost sorry when it ended!
Almost.

=)

PS. Today is my youngest son's birthday! (Read last year's tribute here.) Having finished off his semester with another set of A's, he's heading our way tomorrow for six weeks to finish his preparations for the MCAT in early July. Can't wait to have him home for a bit...(first time in five years that he'll actually spend a large portion of time here...) and we are looking forward to his company. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TODD. We love you!

PPS. And porto vestri viscus, which beats out a fortune cookie any day of the week.

Now, I NEED pizza, and I don't have any mozzarella in the house. Your party looks like it was a lot of fun.

Happy birthday to your boy! And I am quite fond of Apples to Apples. :)

It looks like it was fun. Reminds me of my group of friends. We're having a sugar war tonight and I am excited. It's exactly what it sounds like, go out to a barren field and throw packets of sugar all over each other.

PS, I need pizza now.

When I grow up, I want to be as cool as you.

Are you serious, 160 pieces of pizza!??? Whoa, you either had tons of YSAs or very hungry ones!...sounds like BOTH. I'd call that a successful party!

I'll bet you are glad it is over. That's one down and two to go. It's the third one I am looking forward to. I hope you will be willing to gain a few pounds while you are here because I have been doing a lot of baking and making, so that we can have lots of good things to eat while you are here.

I am sure a good time was had by all at your party. They are always so extra special that I just knew it would be a success. I hope you didn't get too over tired. If you did, you just NEED to take some time off to just rest, even it it is for only a day, since you will be on your way to Dallas soon. I will be particularly glad when that hurdle has been passed (the kidney stone will literally be next I hope)

I can't imagine you playing a game and actually liking it. You will definitely have to tell me all about that.

It looks like everyone had a GREAT time! Now I am in the mood for Pizza...my husband might just kill me if I ask him to run out and get some for me this late! ;) Anything for pregnant, woman, right? He he he.

I am really amazed that despite the fact that you are probably not feeling 100% you pulled off being such a great hostess. The smiles on the faces of everyone is so telling that the night was a blast.

Happy Birthday to your son!

I tried igoogle translate, to no avail. What is your Latin phrase at the bottom? I'm going to be up all night thinking about it. I'm glad your party was a hit!

What a great party, you party animal, you!! You won't believe this but we played Apples to Apples at my son's in Denver (I'm not a game person either. At all.) It was fun, and the weirdest part is that we played with Rex, Ronna, and my ex and his wife. How's THAT for love at home? All I can say is: I've grown.

Apples to Apples is awesome, it is true. Another game that is similar is Boxers or Briefs. You might enjoy that. I am not a game person either, but those two are on my favorites list. Gald it stopped raining and everyone had such a great time.
