Flying High

Aren't dads the best thing ever?!

I like watching my son be one of them.
He does a good job.
He had a great role model.

(Psssst! The role model flew his kids high, too.)

=)

PS. Can I get a YIKES, anyone?

I know the kids love that flying high game but it always scares me to death as a momma. So I guess that is the role of Dads....fun. Mom....scaredy cat.

Yes. Yikes! My dad used to do that to us until we were way too heavy. I think that's why he has a bad back now :)

I love watching dads having fun with their children. That is a great picture and what fun they are having. I would be alright watching them in the swimming pool but I always get nervous when they are flying high above hard surfaces...never saw one not caught though. Whew!! The kidos love it! Hugs

Super cool shot! I know your grandson is totally having a blast being airborne! It's so funny how we moms have the same reaction: yikes. The dads give us a good balance.

Some of my best childhood memories are of my dad doing stuff like this with me.

I agree. I think one of the greatest things about being a grandparent is getting to watch our kids become parents. And I think what is particularly interesting, is watching them worry...finally they understand the love I have for THEM.

Dads are the greatest! My husband still throws the neighbor kids all over the place - ha! It's nice when they land on the tramp ;)

Cute picture. My brother never tossed his kids up but he did balance them in the palm of his had. Pretty cool.

I can remember my dad tossing us in the pool, but I also remember him taking us out in the waves at the beach and teaching us to body surf. Dads are lots of fun. And yes - YIKES!! It's a mom's job to quietly look away.

At least it was in the pool. Brad does that on the lawn and it scared the crud out of me.

He threw him so high!! I watched from the window and finally had to stop. It's a good thing I did because I think Bryce flew even higher than when I watched. I probably would have screamed! I can remember him throwing him up in the air when he was lots younger...Jeremiah and Carli too. It used to scare me to death.

Yeah, I'll give you a yikes. I'm married to a man who is very safety conscious, and it's sort of rubbed off on me.

It IS a great photo, though!

And it's gotta be great watching your kids being loving parents. Sort of like interest that builds on a lifetime investment (or used to, anyway, in the good ol' days hehe).

I remember my daddy doing that to me. I think every kid should know what it is to fly. So sweet!
