You Can't Keep a Good American Down

When a security breach at the Newark Liberty International Airport required passengers to wait in six-hour lines to undergo a second wave of security checks, the natives were definitely getting restless. Kids were crying and cranky, and most of their parents were feeling none-too-cordial either. But all that changed when musician Josh Wilson decided to bloom where he was planted by performing an impromptu sing-along.

Don't you love this demonstration of good old yankee spirit (to say nothing of ingenuity, humanity, and even some refreshing unity) in action? I do!

Love it!!! I'm sure that was like a breath of fresh air. Those poor people, especially the moms with young children.

What a cool thing for him to do. It must have made the time go a lot faster. I'll bet a lot of people were grateful to him for his giving of his talent in such a fun way.

I love that. My son does that often with his uke that he carries everywhere. When he sees people bored, especially at the airport and with kids crying, he will just break out in song. It calms the kids and the angry passengers. I worked with the airlines for over two decades so we spent alot of time in the airport = )

What a guy! Wish I'd been there! (I think - these airports are getting pretty crazy these days!) I was just so glad that all of mine arrived into town safely and securely without incident for our holidays and wedding.
