Oh, Jenneeeeeeee!

I think Jenny's gone a little bonkers this morning, because the Centus has taken a very strange turn. All we've been asked to do is come up with ONE (that's right, uno) sentence! The catch is that the sentence in question can't have even a single letter E in it. Nary a one.

As for subject matter, I decided to delve into the world of worry that has been cycling through my brain for the past few weeks, and it turned out to be a pretty easy assignment. I don't usually ruminate, but I've been making up for that on a daily basis ever since I learned what we would be doing at our Young Single Adult Youth Conference on Sunday afternoon. Ever heard of feeding the 5,000? Yes? Well, how about the 2,000?? Which brings me to the matter at hand...my Centus sentence...

∞§∞

Tomorrow is my opportunity to find out if my hubby and I (and 40 of our good pals) can find a will and a way to nourish 2,000 young folks at our church, so wish us luck whilst our stomachs lurch at this daunting thought of confronting such a task!

∞§∞

There was a young lady named Jenny,
whose prompts were attempted by many.
Though the curveballs she threw
challenged more than a few,
there were none who would quit her, not any!

Excellent Sue ! Jenny is gonna adore that sweet little poem too !

2,000 huh ? What are you all having to eat ? A few years ago, when my Hubs was 1st Coun. in the Y.M. Stake Presidency, we did something similar...a taco and fruit bar...it was a huge hit at Youth Conference ! Good luck...a lot of work but so worth it !!!

I'm very interested in what you are going to serve also. Maybe you could do a blog about that? The most I have ever fed was 300, and that was a huge challenge.

That is a cute poem for Jenny. "The" certainly is our nemesis in this task.

Oh Sue, I think you should be excused from this centus since you have your hands might full! Have fun. I know it will be terrific!

Been thinking of you and your task at hand. I do hope everything turned out special. Knowing you I know that it did.
How could you make a sentence without the E in it. haha

Can't believe I had to take out more "the's."
I think I finally have them all gone.

Sheesh.

I'm counting two more ..the hubby and also a have......maybe you corrected them and they just don't show up on my computer. (I do get some weird things happening). Great sentence though and our prayers are with you for tomorrow. I just know everything will go well. Somehow, things usually do.

I love the poem about Jenny too!

What's one little "E" between friends? Jenny's going to love your poem, Sue!!

Thank, Mom. I think I am just too frazzled for this getting rid of E assignment today.

Well done - even if you did have to make a couple of passes for those errant "e's". I'm so curious as to what your menu is for the 2000 hungry people. I'm in awe that you actually said "yes."

2000 very lucky people to share a meal with you!

Well done! I can't imagine cooking for more than 6 people and you're going for 2,000!

I can barely feed myself, let alone attempt to feed 2K hungry young bodies. You and your pals are such good souls for doing this. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts as you figure it all out.

Great job on the sentence, and the poem!

I've had Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners that felt like I fed 2,000, but holy cow....good luck! I know it will turn out because the Lord won't let his youth starve! (great sentence BTW!)

BRAVO, Sue, on both accounts: the sentence and the feast!!! I'm sure you made out fine and all were well-fed in body and spirit! :) How fun...2,000 singles...I would have LOVED that when I was single!!

She truly keeps you guys on your toes. I love to read the results.

I had to smile at your limerick. So cute. And to have such a long sentence without a single 'e' in it is impressive.

Very nice, Sue. That is a nice long sentence too.

I peeked upwards to see how you did it. You did great!

I like the Brit word, 'whilst' a bunch.

A task well met... I hope the 2,000 young folks experience went well. The time we invest int he young can reap rewards for the future.

I know you rose to this task!

Love your little end rhyme...although I kept thinking...wait...there's an E, there's an E...here an E, there an E, everywhere an E E!

Super cute writing, Miss SuE-less!
