Strawberry Fields Forever

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to...

strawberry fields. Nothin' is real,

and nothin' to get hung about.

Strawberry fields forever.

Living is easy with eyes closed,

misunderstanding all you see.

It's getting hard to be someone,

but it all works out.

It doesn't matter much to me.

Strawberry fields forever!

Sue! This is darling! I have been thinking about your family all summer watching your blog to see when you are in Southern California. There are U-pick strawberry fields right by my house in Carlsbad that my family loves going too. Oh and I love the Across the Universe version of this song. Great choice! :)

Wish I could close my eyes and appear in that strawberry field...forever.
Don't think I'd come home with many strawberries, unless you count the ones in my tummy!

There is just not much you can compare to the fun and yummy taste of picking and eating red, ripe, juicy strawberries right in the field. These pictures are just so cute. Hugs

I was singing this as I read along! Gorgeous pictures!

p.s. I love the shot where your blonde grandson is holding up a strawberry that he picked! You have such beautiful grand children! I know I always say it--but I mean it! :)

I was singing along to your post before I even heard the music come on. Love posts that include your grandchildren.

I LOVE the wink picture! So cute, and what a fun excursion! I wish they had some around me. What a blast for those kids, and oh so healthy! Also, one of my favorite songs, so that makes it even better.

Something I've always dreamed of doing, but never lived anywhere where it's actually possible. Lucky kids.

Our strawberries are done and we're moving on to raspberry time. I can't think of a song about those! Such cute kiddos...and great memories are made in gardens aren't they?

I'm a little late getting on today. Dick reminded me that I needed to see the darling pictres you posted. They are all so good.

They looked like they were having a great time.

I think I need to have Heather take some pictures of Dick and me. We could use some good ones. I want to send some out with our Christmas cards this year. She is such a great photographer.

This brought me back to my childhood years!!! We always went berry picking! What a wonderful pairing of music and pictures!

Sue, thank you for sending my dad an 80th birthday card! He received a big bunch of cards yesterday and brought them to my house to dinner so he could share. It was lovely of you. xo
