The Art of Healing

I don't know how many of you have seen this extraordinary video. The hit count on you-tube looks as if not many have, but even if news about Kaziah Hancock has already come your way, her story is worth a second look. This particular healer (and she is indeed a healer) is a bit rough around the edges. She may not fit the usual notion of an angel, but that's exactly what she is, all the same.

Don't you love when people take the next step, moving from empathy to action? This dear lady reminds me that I need to do more of that. Maybe she'll remind you, too.

Thanks, Kaziah. And thanks to my sister, Jayne, as well...for sharing her with me. Now it's my turn to share her with you.

(I do hope you will take a minute to receive this gift; you'll be glad you did.)

You know what? She reminds me a bit of my cousin, Carol. =)

That was amazing. Completely amazing! She took her trial (ovarian cancer and not being able to have children) and turned it into an enormous blessing for others. I love the saying at the end:
"Kindness is a virtue.
Compassion is an art."

I've never thought of compassion as an art before but the more I think of it, that is so true. It's an art to do what she does, but it's also an art to know just what to do to bless those who are suffering.

Remarkable lady. I sat there and cried while I watched. I love hearing about people who have such love and compassion for others. Did my little heart a lot of good. And it made me wish I could paint portraits.

Sue..you are right. She does remind me a bit of Carol too. I had seen this story before and, sad to say, it had slipped my mind. Thank you for sharing and reminding me of her goodness. I needed this today as I lost a second Haight cousin this morning.

Lots of us shed tears in reading this. It is so neat that she uses her talent in this manner. She is truly a remarkable woman. I can just imagine what a gift like this would mean to somone who has lost a son or daughter in this terrible war that I am beginning to think will never end.

Oh, Sue,

Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. It reduced me to tears and served as a timely reminder of how much loss this country is enduring by being in a place where we don't belong.

Kaziah is truly an angel, and I thank God for people like her. Great post.

Reminds me of the teaching that a mother heart is not limited to those who have born their own children.

Thank you so much for sharing this.
