beDEVILED by EGGS

I've missed participating in Saturday Centus for two weeks and am mighty glad to be back for this fun picture prompt by my good friend Jenny. (For more poems inspired by this photo, just click on the link provided above. )

Whenever I'm in search of feed,
a deviled egg is all I need.
This worries me, because I fear
it's angeled eggs I should revere.

Would it be blaphemy to say
that deviled yolks, far and away,
are more divine than angeled types?
Hey, truth is truth, but holy cripes!

Might I be smitten with a curse
if I reveal, chapter and verse,
that deviled eggs are my delight?
The notion fills my soul with fright.
(And yet, I'll risk another bite.)

Don't judge me. I won't sell my soul.
I shall eggs-act exact some self-control.

My husband has had to give up mustard, so we eat Angelic Eggs instead. The basil makes them pretty heavenly!

Cute! I love deviled eggs - my mom used to make them a lot when we were kids, and I could never have enough. Happy Easter week!

I would eat deviled eggs for my meal, and then devil's food cake for dessert. I am possessed!

That was priceless!
I don't think Angelic Eggs would taste half as good as Deviled!

:D Devilishly clever! And I just now figured out why deviled eggs are so big at Easter. I must be a little slow on the uptake there.

Oh, Sue I am smiling on this one. Your humor is so fantastic on this one. I loved it as usual. I bought some eggs today and when I got home I already had 18 eggs; so I guess I will be using a few in the next little while.
Have a fun week preparing for an Easter celebration.
Blessings and hugs!

What a light-hearted admission. I also love deviled eggs, make them often to take to events, and never take any home.
