Electricity, Felicity, and Sunflower Simplicity

Electricity has been restored, and I am back in business!

The pumpkin hunt is back in business, too.

Some people stray to greet beguiling sunflowers.

But who can blame them? None, nor question why.

I don't think you're ever so grateful for electricity until you've been without it.
I'm so happy for you, and I hope a little peace has also been restored to your heart.

I was telling LaMar last night about your electricity fiasco. He was surprised that your storm was so much more severe than ours. (I wouldn't even call what we got a "storm")Go north a few hours and it makes all the difference!

Those photos are stunning. I love how simple moments can be made amazing.

I am so happy you have your electricity back. I can sympathize a little My fridge was out for a few weeks and it was sooo annoying. It made me grateful for the conveniences I enjoy.

How very nice. Need to get our pumpkin picking done ... My kids are bigger and it loses a bit of the magic, but not entirely..

I'm waiting for Heather to put her shingle out. She could be a professional photographer. She is just getting better and better. Of course her subjects are pretty great too. I'm sure they are getting used to having their mother snap their picture every time they turn around. I wonder just how many pictures they have in their collection. I'm jealous because I can't take a decent picture at all.

I'm also glad your electricity came back on. Losing so much stuff in your refrigerator is so bad. I seriously think you guys should consider a generator. We almost bought one after our electricity went out so many times a few years ago. You should at least look into it.

Yep, we definitely are thinking about a generator. Our neighbors bought one, and they were talking to us about how much better it is not to rely on PG&E.
