Hollah Back!

Today we're back to normal for Saturday Centus, with a bona fide prompt and everything! (Thanks, Jenny.) I'm in a pretty big rush today because my granddaughter is being baptized, so I was glad to see a prompt (below, in red) that speaks to my very soul.

Hollah Back!

Are you ready for some football?
Are you ready for some fun?
Are you ready for the season
when no work at all gets done?

Then hollah back. It's touchdown time!
Just grit your teeth and punt.
Get used to couch potato husbands
yelling "Down in front!"

Say farewell now to male attention
and to emptied trash.
Don't try to catch your guy's eye...
It's on pigskin, downs, and dash.

Give up for now on well-mowed lawns
and clean garages, too.
Keep smiling, girl, the GAME is on.
What else is there to do?

Oh this is so good! You should try to sell it to a beer or chip commercial, really. Great point of view.

Thanks for liking my own. I told hubby what the prompt was...and he asked what smarty mouth comment I had. I told him the story...he laughed...

We were both thinking along the same lines - but you say it so much more eloquently that I.
Nice job!

Great one, Sue...and I LOVE the accompanying music! :)

In our house, my husband and I both are big football fans!

Ha! I'm not a big football fan but Jack does enjoy a game or two! I'm so happy it's almost fall, I could care less if a few chores get ignored..except I'm the one who mows the yard!

So true! I kind of miss it.
My computer is going out on me so I miss you and blogging.
Hopefully I can save up for a new one cause this one is probably not going to make itmuch longer.
Take care
Love

Oh yes - I've lived this! More so when my boys were home, but there's something about having a game on with game snacks!

My favorite thing about football is the tailgate food.

Hahahaha! So funny! Sometimes I wish my husband would enjoy football just enough to watch it with me, but after reading this, I am grateful that he doesn't!
