Fun Finish

It was a fun finish to a long and fruitful career.

Even President Obama(ish) was there to celebrate the retiree.

In fact, he offered the hubs a new job, due to his "squeaky clean" image.

(The position in question was "straightening out the secret service.")

Needless to say, the man of the hour turned it down.

But he did take the Tiffany clock!

=)

Happy Retirement, Dave.
(Tomorrow is his last day, but the party was Monday night.)

I borrowed these pictures from a disk the bank gave us.
Hope they don't mind!

Okay, I admit I see a slight bit of Obama in this guy. But, he really doesn't have Dumbo ears which is a dead give away that he isn't the President. lol Thanks for your frequent visits. They always make for a fun time! ^.^

We just finished watching the video. Who took it? I wish it had been better, but at least we got to see and hear most of it. Thanks so much for sending it to us.

I'm going to give Dave a special cheer tomorrow. I have looked forward to this day for some time and I'm sure you have too. I don't think he will know quite what to do with himself after a couple of weeks, but I'm sure he will keep busy, one way or another. It will be nice for him not to have to spend such long hours at night interviewing the young singles. He can at least do that at a normal time.

I will call you when we get out of the pool. We need to do our exercises. I have done nothing but sleep yesterday and today. I NEED to wake up!

The pictures are GREAT!!

Congratulations and I wish him a happy retirement and full health, an honor to receive it from Obama. He sees a face full of happiness.

A job well served. Now a hobby to keep one busy but with a monthly stipend. A just reward for the man of the hour!

Congrats Dave! I can already see how relaxed you both are..love that first pic too! If the bank doesn't like the fact you used their pics..what are they going to do..fire him?? Take that clock and run!! Enjoy the rest of your life!

P.S...Why do people always get a clock when they retire? I think they should give you one with the first real job you do so you can count down the time when you don't have to "clock in" anymore!

Oh for sure take the clock! You'll have to send a big Congrats to your man of the hour...who really does not look ready to retire! But that's so good....travel and sight see and do fun stuff!

The fact that his work colleagues arranged a rather elaborate send-off is, in and of itself, a tribute to him. Best wishes for a long and healthy retirement!
