New Stuff

My heart's a little heavy today with the after-vacation blahs, so I'm going tell you about a few really cool things that were exciting me before I left. With any luck at all, they will excite me again. (And maybe even you!)

1. Heather of TendershootZ has joined forces with Kristin of Junky Heirloom to create a delightful line of special occasion photo cards. I love the original and creative nature of these designs (cool, kooky, fun, elegant...something to please everyone), and I hope you'll take a minute to go check them out.

2. The Lemon Tree Project - A terrific young mom who grew up with my kids has a fun new blog that offers all kinds of neat tips for nearly everything in or around your home and family. I have learned some great stuff from Mindy and her guest posters already, related to cooking, laundry, parenting and more. (That's right, I said guest posters, so if you've got something to share, have at it!)

3. And did you see the picture of Karen and me at Still Crazy After All These Years? (Please overlook my horrible hat hair. Hers was a surprise visit, and it shows!) But that's a-okay by me. It was so much fun being up close and personal with a blog friend, especially one as neat as Karen, that I'd like to make a hobby out of it. Anyone visiting the Bay area in the next few months??

There! See? I'm in a better mood already. Off to clean out a few closets...That should banish any leftover blahs completely!

=)

It's always so hard to leave when family has been together for awhile. That is the worst feeling... :(

I'm all a flutter Sue! Thanks for the shout out. I love the other links as well. It's always hard to end a vacation, especially one mixed with family and the beach. Welcome home and hope your week is fabulous.

Thanks for the shout-out Sue. I was so afraid that popping in on you wouldn't be a good surprise, but figured I could pop out just as fast if it wasn't. As it turned out, it was delightful to meet you and it was time well spent. We (LaMar and I) thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and your family.
As for the other links, I'm already there. I've learned some great things on Lemon Tree Project and Heather - well you know I love Heather and her work! We got some great family shots that I'll treasure forever.

I am so happy that you and Karen got together at last! I absolutely love the fact that her sweet husband drove her over to see you and that she found you at the fun zone. And Sue, I absolutely love that piture of you and Karen. I also love the way your hair looked, so I don't know what you meant about that. I'm going to ask Dick if he can download the picture from Karen's sight. I am so dumb about these things, as you know.

Also, I think it is neat that Heather and Kristin are collaborating on the cards. What a great idea! Did she leave out an i on the four year old's card or am I just not seeing very well tonight. (If she didn't, I am going to be very embarrased tomorrow when I check again when the light is better.)

The hints on the other blog are good too, although I did know about most of them. It is a great idea though and I will visit that blog accaisionally.

I LOVE THE PICTURE OF YOU AND KAREN!!!!!

Thanks for the links as well. I hope you are over your post-vactation-blahs by now.
