Dancing in the Streets

This photo was taken down the street from my son's house in the Sunset district of San Francisco, where everyone in town seems to be celebrating our World Series victory. What a GREAT team! Two wins in three years. No wonder we are so proud of them.

Parade on Wednesday!!!
Halloween just got even more exciting.
(And the color scheme is right, too.)

WORLD CHAMPS!

=)

PS. At such a happy time for people in the Bay area, we are mindful of so many on the other side of the country who are in jeopardy from hurricane Sandy. Please know that you are in our prayers. This storm sounds out of the ordinary, and I am hoping for the best possible outcome for everyone impacted by it.

Your Giants are just magnificent!!!!I am sure Ryan is thrilled to say nothing about Dave. I think it is fun to have a team you really love to follow, and expecially when they are so good!!

Thanks Sue for your sweet comments. You know how much I love you and how proud it am that you are my daughter. Isn't it nice that we belong to such a wonderful "Mutual Admiration Society"?

I know, it's the scariest thing about the east coast today. I can't get them off my mind.

It's even scarier when your missionary is on Long Island, where the storm surge is predicted to be the worst. One source described it as the bottom of the funnel.

That being said, I know they are all safe, and I'm sure he's just waiting for it to pass so he can get out and serve--maybe even with a chainsaw (like he had to do last year after Hurricane Irene).

It looks like they will be celebrating for a long time.

People in SF are saying that the enthusiasm is not only prevailing, but building. Can't wait for Wednesday and the parade!

Congrats on your winning team! Enjoy the victory celebrations and Halloween. We're getting the rain and wind from Sandy as I type..hopefully no outages will happen.
