Monday Motivation

This song is probably overdone, but its message isn't. And the unique violin version below is the most evocative I've heard. Simply stirring, and I hope you'll take time to listen to it this Monday morning. (Thanks, Mom, for sending it.)



"My Way" is a song popularized by Frank Sinatra. Its lyrics were written by Paul Anka and set to music based on the French song "Comme d'habitude" composed in 1967 by Claude François and Jacques Revaux.

    This song is very meaningful for me, and captures the spirit of my dad. He loved that song, as do I. Thanks for sharing this version here.

    That violinist is so gifted. Wow. I've never seen an orchestra in ballgowns. Kinda fun. And I loved the footage of the Statue of Liberty. Thanks for this today.

    This was fun. I was introduced to Andre Rieu by my grandmother and aunt. He was/is a favorite of theirs, and every time I see one of his performances I think of those sweet ladies.

    Loved this! Thanks so much! I got teary eyed when the clips showed Ellis Island and the immigrants since my Grandparents came over from Greece via Ellis. I took my Mom there a few years ago and stood and just looked over the water at NYC and wondered what the people who gave up so much to come here thought about the new life they would be starting. It was very moving..that was the best version of that wonderful song I've ever heard.

    Lovely Sue, I'm so glad you posted it and it was nice to hear it again. I love both Sinatra and I love that song. Wasn't it interesting that so many in the audience were crying. I guess it would be no surprise to you to know that I was crying too!!

    I just wish all of your bloggers could have heard it.
