The Boardwalk Boys

I love this shot of my husband walking along the boardwalk with Bryce. Every picture tells a story, but this one actually tells me two. One is that Heather, my daughter-in-law, has become increasingly proficient at her photography craft. The other is that fathers (and grandfathers!) are important in our family.

I'm glad this is so, and I'm grateful to all the wonderful men who have done their part to make it true.

=)

  1. I love that you've used so many of her photos recently. She has a great eye and yes, she is definitely perfecting her craft. Grandpas (and grandmas) are awesome!! :)

  2. Seriously - I'd blow this one up and frame it. It tells a beautiful story. My mother used to wonder why my dad's slacks were always grubby around the knees - until she saw a picture my aunt shot of my two oldest (about 5 and 2 at the time) holding on to my dad's legs at the knee. He'd take them for walks in the neighborhood "exploring."

PS....I loved my grandfather more than anything! It looks like Bryce feels the same.

  10. Lovely, in every way. Bryce is so precious and I think it is wonderful that he loves his grandpa so very much. What's not to love though?

  12. There's always something totally endearing to me of two people walking down a sidewalk together. I have so many of them from the backside . . . and their always some of my favorites! I'm sure you would have some poetic analogy - but I'm so brain dead from this weeks events that I just can't think what it is :)
