Into the Valley by Classixx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TYLER!

Tyler Blake, my nephew and a member of club/electronica/indie duo Classixx, has a new release out (Into the Valley) with Green Label Sound, and it's pretty cool. Listening to his music makes me happy...especially today, which is his birthday! Directly below is an interview with this up-and-coming, multi-talented group. (By the way, it's the guy on the right that calls me "Aunt Sue.")

(And if you're wondering about my sound effects...ocean waves...it's so you don't have to bother to turn down the volume on my playlist before you listen.) Aren't I obliging? You can hear the single by clicking on the second video, also below.

  4. Sue, I really liked their music. It put a spring in my step and a smile on my face; what more would one want.
It's always fun to have a relative that is so talented. I have a cousin that is a great artist.
By the way, we lived in San Jose for about three years and then in Paradise, California for another 3 years. We loved the California weather and I would love to be there right now. We just got 3 inches of snow. I am looking forward to warmth.
    Blessings to you! LeAnn

  5. I love that song! It reminds me of stuff I listened to in the 80's. But they certainly aren't old enough to know how to do that!!
I hope he has a really cool birthday...he's a cool kid!

  7. Wow. Talk about talent overload! You have a nephew who is a professional baseball player. You have a nephew who has amazing music. You are a phenomenal writer, you have a daughter in law who takes absolutely beautiful pictures... can I be a part of your family and inherit some talent too? :) Happy birthday to your nephew!

  15. I did hear this and watched the vieo before. He is a good looking dude, isn't he? As I told Nikki, when you look at him with his arms crossd on the white couch, he looks a lot like Rich, I think. He really is a talented guy and he's been on tour so much that it's really a nice thing if he's home a few days in a row. The only part of the world they haven't toured in is Africa and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get there one day. I envy his being able to go to so many places, but being on airplanes all the time would make me crazy.

Classix is really really popular in Australia. Tyler told me the first time he saw all these people close to the stage singing all the words to music and lyrics he has composed is quite an interesting feeling. I think he's gotten used to it by now though. They do it even in China.

  16. It's amazing to me how the creative gene in a family can run through in different ways...through music, writing, etc. Tyler is a real cutie! Quite the musician too!
