The weekend I hit Dallas, Bishop Dave was busy, too.
He didn't know that there'd be rain.
(He did know there'd be view.)
His helpers were a merry crowd
who all worked hard to make him proud.
They managed to look good as well.
(She took these photos. Ain't she swell?)
Now walk with me along the trail
that leads to beauty on a scale
that only nature can provide...
At Lehi, joy is multiplied.
How beautiful - and deer too! I always feel so lucky if I get a chance to see some creatures when I'm out in nature. (Especially if they're FRIENDLY creatures.) Even with the rain (or maybe because of it) it was a pretty day!
ReplyDeleteI heart Dallas.
ReplyDeleteHave you looked at Texas Bloggin Gals? Or did I find you there? Cuz I'm pretty sure I found you on MMB. Anyway. Texas Bloggin Gals.

You did it again Sue!
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at all your gorgeous pictures I realize I either need a new camera or different scenery! :)
Neat pictures!! Between you and Dave, you guys have learned to be great photographers. I'm jealous because Dick doesn't like to take pictures and I always move the camera or cut someones head off. The scenery ins beautiful! Where is Lehi Park?
ReplyDeleteJust went on Dick's facebook and found out that Dave didn't take the photos after all. Whoever Leighann is, she is a very good photographer. I should also add that I liked your poetry (as always)
ReplyDeleteThis place is beautiful. Nice pictures and cute poem to go with it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun, looks like work; a good combination.
ReplyDeleteLove the poem. And the pictures. Any place called Lehi has got to be nice...you would hope....
ReplyDeleteLehi Park is located in the uppermost part of the Santa Cruz mountains. It is on a large parcel of land, heavily forested with mostly redwoods, oaks, and pine trees and is just amazingly beautiful. Our girls have their yearly summer camp there, and other groups go there all the time, too. It's owned by the Church and gets a lot of use.
ReplyDelete=)
I loved this. I want to walk on that bridge and take that adventure with great people...
ReplyDeleteThat was such a cute blog entry!!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about it and the photos look amazing!!!!
Beautiful photos stitched together with your cheerful poem!
ReplyDeletehow nice! It makes you want to climb right in there!
ReplyDeleteDeep in the heart of Texas...
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Houston--so I had just one thought seeing the pics--where were the armadillos and roaches? {shudder}
Texans are as sweet as their tea. haha
Oops. Looks like I was guilty of an ambiguous post. (Who, me?!)
ReplyDeleteI was in Texas when these photos were taken. But my husband and the young adults in his ward were home in California. Hence the lack of armadillos and roaches...
I believe there were a few giant mosquitoes, however.
;)
What a beautiful place for a service camp out! I love it and am so glad I live near the mountains. And those photos are so beautiful (as always)
