Gifts, Glorious Gifts!

I don't think anyone's gonna argue with me

that Christmas gifts are a many-splendored thing.

I sorta gave this one (the quilt) to myself.

And these, too, though my husband wrapped 'em up!
My kids really came through for me too (even better than I did)!

Matt and Heather know how much I love my grandchildren.

While Karin and Bobby remember that I love a soft snuggle.

Ryan extends to me the gift of iPOD music in the kitchen.

And Todd lets me feel like part of his med school effort.

My very thoughtful husband gives me the piece de resistance.
(The bracelet, not my mother's engagement ring!)

He knows what I like.

(Creepy hand! I sharpened it so you could see better.)

I love my other gifts too (thanks, everyone),
but I posted these from Dave and the kids to keep it short! (-ish)

You have a wonderful family, who knows you just as well, if not better than you know yourself.

I really do love your bracelet. Dave really knows how to pick out good presents, doesn't he? We used to do that, but for the past few years we always pick out our own gifts and usually get them before Christmas. Strange, huh?

You are pretty darned good yourself at picking out gifts, we both love our quilts and all the other stuff too!

Looks like a wonderful, wonderful Christmas from your thoughtful gang!! Love the hubby gifts...you could hang them all in a special reading nook. And the bracelet is just gorgeous! The snuggly looks inviting too! But a pic of the grandchildren would always be my first choice for a first class gift that hits the heart!!

You can tell each gift was thoughtful and they were thinking of you as each was chosen...they did good! You did good too and I guess you know you best! Enjoy!

Fun post. I was thinking about doing this too. My mother-in-law got me a create electric heater, that I just LOVE!

I think the best part of my kids getting older is seeing what they get for me with their own money on their own time. :)

Looks like your kids are very thoughtful too! And I love the bling!

You had a great haul and they ran the gamut from cozy to just what you needed (Bose) to just what your heart needed (grandkids picture) to just what your mother's pride needed (UCI paraphernalia) to just what your heart needed (something lovely from your beau). Christmas was good to you!

All very thoughtful gifs! I should post what my husband gave me...I think my friends would be shocked. Come to think of it...I'm going to! Thanks for the inspiration.

Speaking of gifts...I am not a member of the LDS but have been invited to a baptism. I'm wondering, is a gift appropriate, and if so, what is good suggestion for an 8 year-old girl. We are also attending her birthday party the day before and will provide a gift at this occasion. Any advice is appreciated.

I wrap family or household gifts, label them from Santa, and then have others open them. Everyone's on to me by now and they groan when they get a "from Santa" package, but they also know it's usually something good.
