Look at them Lemons


These mutant lemons graced our tree.
At least, they did 'til recently.
We plucked them from a leafy bough
to share them with you, here and now.

How d'ya like them lemons?

    So what happened? We have a lemon tree in our backyard and they have never produced anything like those. It's very odd because they are such a great yellow color and look so healthy, besides the shape!

    You'll just have to use them for a recipe that doesn't require grating the zest. That would be a challenge!

    We too thought they were play dough! They are so cool though, because even though they don't look like other lemons on the outside, they are still lemony on the inside! Loved the verse, sista Sue.

    Those are the strangest looking lemons I have ever seen...

    I wonder why they grew all lopsided and lumpy like that... Weird!
