I Forgot

I wrote a good story, but something went wrong.
I had all the characters where they belong.
The setting was great, and the word use was strong.
The length was just right ... not too short, not too long.
I checked everything. I indented a lot.
I spelled stuff exactly the way I was taught.
I wrote a good story, but my teacher thought
it had one major weakness: I left out the plot.

ReplyDeleteThis is a little too close to home today. I've been working on a talk for an upcoming women's conference, and I deleted the whole thing! Yea. Not good.
ReplyDeleteHa....that is too clever, Sue.
ReplyDeleteHa!

ReplyDeleteYou? Leave out a plot? NEVER!!
ReplyDeleteLoved your surprise ending, Sue!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds an awful lot like the story my son was just telling me when he was explaining why he didn't get a good grade on a paper ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
I hate it when that happens! Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteOh this is a cute one! I actually think it has a deeper meaning.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs!
Ha! The story of my life!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great music! It made me smile right out loud! And yes - the plot- I find I do that more and more..start a story and then totally forget what it has relevance to!! somewhere there has to be a reason, right??
ReplyDeletehaha yeah that might make a little difference...smiles..but you had great characters...and indentations...smiles.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I love this. It made me smile. I have written so many stories like that!
ReplyDeleteI remember this one!!! It was good then, and it is good now.
ReplyDeleteI think your plot is about not having a plot (to the poem anyways). Maybe your story is just about description.
ReplyDeleteLove your plot!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun little story!
You are always interesting and fun to read!
