in the breach

Salvador Dali - Venus and the Sailor

in the breach
©2012 Susan Noyes Anderson

call me from the sea to meet you
in the breach of dawn and dusk
shapes and angles flow to greet you
midnight masses, morning musk

neck to shoulder, limb to toe
rise above and fall below
in the deep, along the sand
breast to bosom, palm to hand

swirl inside this sacred eddy
twirl across the ocean floor
i will leave you sated, ready
nothing wanting, wanting more

  13. It's lovely, Sue. And so romantic!

I also LOVE the music today! Reminded me of Joni Mitchell but I looked at the player and it says Judy Collins. I am not familiar with her so I will now go and do what my generation does when we are not familiar with something: I will google it. In this case her. :)

  23. Like the Magpie but not that noise that assails the ears as your page opens! I is SO distracting to an unsuspecting visitor who is only expecting poetry...
