Keep On

keep on
©2012 susan noyes anderson

when you feel like there's no winning
find yourself a new beginning
keep on

when you really know you ought to
but you feel like you don't want to
keep on

when you tell yourself hope ever
but you wind up hoping never
keep on

when your heart is saying go, go
but your answer's always no, no
keep on

when self-pity fills your gut
kick your spirit in the butt
and keep on

  5. Amazing that is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. On our mission we are the Welfare Specialists in our assigned ward. We are assigned to take all calls into the Bishop for Welfare. This morning I had two calls where the sweet sisters both cried on the phone. At times I feel so helpless. We are mainly the messagers between the Bishop and them. Sometimes the messages back are not good and I always feel sad. I know there is purpose in not giving help; but to me it is very hard. I will keep going because that is what I need to do.I am so looking for Zion.
    Blessings for the uplift!

  10. Love Charlie Brown's optimistic nature. It fits well with the "never let'em see ya sweat"...

  11. Good message, Sue. It's not easy though, at times. But we just have to keep going anyway we can. Time doesn't stop for anyone.

  17. Hahahaha!!! I think I'm going to make that last line my knew motto. Epic!

  18. Oh boy, this should be my motto.
I'm so tired of hearing, if I want something bad enough I will get it.
I make agreements with myself every night and wake up with NO ability, motivation or will power. Gone. I just have to 'keep on'. Even if keeping on means, literally one foot in front of the other!

  20. Great post Sue. My Mom's motto is "Just Do It"..that was way before Nike said "do it". She overcame many obstacles in her life and inspired all of her kiddos to never give up. Donna and I have had so many challenges at work lately and the idea of just giving up has passed between us many times. I hope she reads this today! Thanks for the kick in my spirit!
