An Old-Fashioned Christmas


I picked up these cute Christmas coasters in Old Town last week while visiting my kids for Thanksgiving. Pretty cute, huh? (And even cuter in person!) They remind me of a good, old-fashioned Christmas, and that makes me happy.

Christmas time is here,
happiness and cheer,
fun for all that children call
their favorite time of year.

Snowflakes in the air,
carols everywhere,
olden times and ancient rhymes
and love and dreams to share.

Sleigh bells in the air;
beauty every where;
yuletide by the fireside
and joyful memories there.

Christmas time is here;
we'll be drawing near;
oh that we could always see
such spirit through the year.

    Love Christmas things, especially vintage ones. (I have a cut out of the image on the top left corner that is 3-d so you can put treats in the sleigh.)

    I absolutely LOVE old fashioned decorations. The one with the Mom decorating the tree is my favorite. Too bad we can't just jump into that picture for a moment.

    They are really cute Sue..I like the vintage things too. I love when I can find something different to decorate with. Now, about the snowflakes in the poem...we're getting some tomorrow I think..should I send them your way? Please? Then please send some warm sun my way, OK?

    Love the coasters and loved the song. I also love the music, it really is haunting and once I hear it, it keeps wanting to hang out in my brain and I'm playing it in my mind constantly.
