Leaving on a Jet Plane

Just a quick post from me today because...I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again...

(Actually, I do know when I'll be back again, but apparently John Denver had no clue.)

At any rate, my husband will be home alone this week...all because I decided rather impulsively to go visit my grandkids (and their parents, of course) in Southern California. With any luck, I'll get to see the great-grandparents, too! And maybe even Todd, if he can spare some time from his crazy study schedule.

I'll probably bring my laptop with me so I can blog to my heart's content, though I hate the thought of lugging one more thing over, under, around, and through the airport without Dave's help. Ugh.

I should also mention that I am guest posting today at We Talk of Christ We Rejoice in Christ, where Jocelyn asked me to blog about how to write a family mission statement. Since a family mission statement is a very good item to have, you might want to go take a look!

Peace out, homies.

;)

  2. I read your blog at Jocelyn's blog and enjoyed it greatly. I used to live in California and now reside in St. George Utah-just returned from a genealogical trip to Iceland and took my laptop with me to blog over there. Check it out sometime. Have a fun trip visiting family.

  8. You are so funny...that line about John Denver not having a clue where he was going!

Have a great trip. And I'm so happy you are taking us all with you. Give your Mom a great big hug from me.

  9. We've left a computer in an airport terminal in the rush to get on the plane with a little baby, car seat, stroller, and carry on luggage. I thought Sweetheart had it, and he thought I had it. Boy oh boy did it take a little bit to get back. I was so glad when we did. It is easier to lug than to have shipped to you after TSA security has gotten a hold of it.

  13. That song has such memories for me--involving an 18-year-old me and a certain missionary . . . sigh.
And I got married the day he got home. Not to him, I might add ;)

  14. How fun to receive such a great message and to know that we absolutely will see you while you are here. It's only about an hour and a half drive from here, but we will arrange to stay over one night so we can drive you to Irvine to see Todd. (That way we can see him too, and I'm excited)

  15. Sue, have a great trip! Gil and I were just talking this evening about our (very far in the future) grandchildren! We were saying that we hope we have tons of grandchildren and that our children will want to visit often! If you don't end up bringing your computer (and blogging) we will wait patiently for your return!

    :)

  19. Have so much fun! And no worries, I lug around a laptop every day and it isn't too big a deal as long as you have it packed up right!
