Summer Starts with a Smile

Looking back on childhood, I realize that my very best moments included water. Nothing's changed. From backyards to breakers, turquoise to ocean blue, there's nowhere I'd rather be than immersed in clear, cooling water.

It seems my grandson feels the same way.

(and that makes me smile)

  9. Water just makes kids happy! And there's nothing better than floating in the pool on a hot day or just hearing cool, running water from a fountain or stream. Makes me want to cool my toes in it!

  11. I share your love for water. I'll never forget the day we were at the beach and we swam so far out that the lifeguards kept motioning for us to come in. We went out so easily, but it took us over a half hour to get back. It was a great experience feeling all the fish swimming by.

  16. I never really thought about it, but it is true. Summer and water go hand in hand. And bike rids, and fresh cut grass and mosquitos... Oh how I love summer! And your grandson, with that adorably huge smile looks like he is enjoying it as well.

  18. Cute picture!! I haven't ventured out into our pool yet. I am a big baby about it. I think the water has to be around 90 degrees before I dare get in. :-)

  27. Sue,

Having grown up on a barrier island, I'm with you on the water thing. The creek beside my house is dry because of this awful drought.

I don't think I have ever seen a child look any happier than your sweet grandson!

    Namaste..........cj
