  1. There's nothing like being a Grandma! Who knew! I did not look forward to this, but once I became one I have been in heaven.
Btw, she looks just like her little brother!

  2. I had no idea being a Grandma was so much fun! and exhausting. I'm sure you will miss all of them, so so cute!!! You are such a great Grandma, I and they will remember that tree and all the notes and stories you tell!

  3. The day everyone leaves is so bittersweet. I always feel like we haven't done enough, that we didn't have enough time. And yet I'm exhausted. You and I have discussed this. And so we're a little sad, and at the same time we're already making plans for next time. Glad you had a fun weekend.

  5. I know you will miss them, but think of all the wonderful fun you had with them and keep smiling. I know one thing they have a really fine grandma and I bet they are missing you already. Hugs

  6. :( Parting is such sweet sorrow. I never really understood that until I had kids. I am sure as a grandmother it makes even mores sense. For your sake, I will wish Thanksgiving here all the faster.

  7. We just got back from visiting with our Grandkiddos...they are so sweet and I can't wait until October when we will be together for a wedding. I love being a "yaya"...what a cutie you have in her pink Grandma top!

  8. On Sunday I was at my cousins house for a family gathering, their baby had been blessed. I was holding him. My aunt asked if it made me want more. I said no. It really doesn't. I just enjoyed holding him. My mom said, "Now you can look forward to that day when you are the Grandma!" That will be a sweet day indeed!

  10. So sad how fast that time goes. My parents are here right now to watch my girls and I'm torn between being here with them and going on a trip without them.

  11. Why is it that vacation days with family go so much faster than regular chore days? No fair I say. I can't wait for Turkey day either- as it will hopefully mean another visit from our Grammy!

  14. It's nice that you can get together with your grandchildren while they are young. I was so fortunate to be able to live close enough to yours and Nikki's children when they were little. I got to see them every day! It really makes for bonding. Enjoy them while you can. When they grow older as mine all are now, you are even lucky if you get a phone call once a year! Their lives get so busy they hardly ever have time to think of Grandma and Grandpa. It's sad. Usually, we have to go see them now because they are all far away.....even a two and a half hour drive seems far to me now.

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving too. Time passes so quickly that it will be here before we know it. I'll then be able to see grandchildren AND great grandchilren!!
