Just Like the Rock of Gibraltar

Beware the heartless kidney stone,
purveyor of the moan and groan,
vile patron of the pebble-prone,
inflicting pain from bone to bone.

Out! Out, foul plague that brought this crone
to joust with crystals all alone...
And curse each particle unknown
from which the devil rock was grown!
(Another little ditty by Susan Noyes Anderson ©2010)

So went my weekend. How was yours?

=)

  1. Oh no. I've heard that pain is worse than childbirth. So how are you doing now?

  2. Oh, I'm so sorry Sue. I've passed 7. Ugh!!! The last one had to be removed surgically. Drink lots of water!!! Did you pass it yet??? I sure hope so. Feel better!!!

  13. Well, at least I didn't have a kidney stone. I've had enough of those to last me for a lifetime. You are so lucky you passed it without having to go to the hospital. I hope all is well now and that you have recovered. Loved your poem though. I can't imagine how you put together so many rhyming sentences describing the horrible nightmare of having one of those awful things. Good job.

  14. Oh, man. More good family DNA apparently. So sorry to hear about that! I remember trying to teach through one, LOL, and that was not fun.

I feel like I haven't seen you forever. When is the beach house this year? Trying to figure things out for summer. Email me.

  18. I'm so so sorry- I've had them before too and they stink- big time!
Did you have them blasted? I love the blasty thing- it makes life better pretty quick.

To those who questioned if it's worse than child birth- no, I've done both naturally (not by choice mind you) and childbirth is much much worse in my opinion.
