Despair: Good for What Ails You?

My eldest son turned me on to this series of demotivators not long ago. Sharing his amusement, I emailed Despair.com for permission to run a few of 'em past you before linking to their website.

They graciously agreed, so I hope you enjoy the fun. I chose six of my own faves, but if these don't tickle your funny bone, rest assured that many others are available. These "inspirational" thoughts can be purchased as posters, t-shirts, glassware, etc. You can even make a custom calendar, choosing your own pages. (I've already given one as a gift, and it scored BIG.)

  1. Have you seen the blogging posters?
    It reads:

    BLOGGING
Never before have so many people with so little to say said so much to so few.

  2. Ha! And if I found one of those blogging posters I'd need one of them too!
I think my dentist needs those posters in his office. He has the old positive ones up...you know the board room motivators. I can't stand looking at them while my teeth are being cleaned. Now these....would make my mouth open wide.
They are more on my level....this is how I actually feel most of the time for real!

  3. Thanks for the chuckle this morning. And somehow I missed your post yesterday . . . don't know how I could commit such a faux pas.
The meetings poster could often be true in the Church, except it should say something about having meetings just to have meetings!

  4. I love it! These are hilarious! Before I stayed home with my girls, I worked (for pay--hee hee) and my office had posters like this in the meeting room. It would have been hilarious to go in and switch them out with these to see how many people noticed at the meetings!

  6. I love 'em. I need to find some sarcastic quotes to put on the white board as you enter my house, instead of my usual motivators that probably do just the opposite. These would be perfect.

  8. Love Mary's blogging one. I LOVE these. I may just have to order a calendar. This is what I think EVERY time I see one of those motivational posters. Found out the hard way that some people just don't get them....

  11. The "Meetings" one - definately. I hate meetings. Which puts me in the minority at church. (If only there was someone who knew how to move them along...)
And the "Individuality" one. Sooo funny! Thanks for the laugh!

  13. I really needed this today. It has been one of those hard ones, just too much activity yesterday. These gave both Dick and me some good chuckles. It really does one good to have a good laugh once in a while. We all need lots of humor in our lives. Thanks.
