A Work of Art
©2003 Susan Noyes Anderson; His Children; Vantage-Point Press

A little girl
A laugh, a sigh
A sparkle in
A soft, blue eye

A little shy
A little bold
A secret kept
A story told

A hand to hold
A lock to curl
A daisy chain
A skip, a twirl

A little girl
A woman's start
A work of grace
A work of art

  1. I like the line, "A little shy, a little bold". That sure sums up lots of little people I know.

  3. Tell him I'll make him one, but that I already had this poem written...

  4. Beautiful, Sue - I'm kind of in awe. I do this because I like to write, but you have actually written books. I feel all shy now. I liked this poem - I'm sure it's about one particular little girl, but it could be about most of us and the little girls we love.
