Passing Place

Passing Place
©2013 Susan Noyes Anderson

When you are stuck in second gear
and can't seem to get by
the creeping trucks and pokey schmucks
before your weary eye;
just bide your time, remembering
your path is marked by grace.
The way is long. Be strong. Push on.
Find your passing place.

Oh yes, that's a good way to put it. Road trips can be so reflective of life. All the twists and turns and even finding your passing place.

I hope you do a post on your Mom because I've thinking about her a lot and wondering how your trip to see her went.

It’s the only way to travel.

Love it!
So much of my mom time is driving the kids from one thing to the next. It's not my favorite , but we do have some good conversations.

The way is long, but the best part about the length is that between the rocky patches are such beauty.

Sometimes it's hard to remember that the passing place WILL come up. I can get obsessed by whatever's blocking my way.

I always say that my life is like a road. A Christian journey with man made diversions that always get me lost for a whole but then I come to a round about and have to make a choice Gods good like that

I've never seen a sign that says passing place before. This post came at a good time for me as I feel stuck behind a couple of people right now who are trying to control a situation but don't want to take on any of the responsibility. I say it's time to move on. If they want the control, then they take on the responsibility. Okie dokie, that's off my chest. ;))

With all the construction around here, I need a good passing place! I feel a bit stuck in some gear..I think it's the "low" one lately!

Needed this today...I've been in 2nd gear for awhile, too afraid to "go around" and thinking about putting on the brakes altogether. Thanks Sue!

Staying calm and trusting the place is coming his key. Well done!
