Early Morning Beach House Bliss

I love the morning, when the beach and boardwalk are empty, even though it's fun to watch everyone roll, stroll, and jog by during the day. The nights are fun, too, when the teenagers are out in full force, looking for fun.

Here's the chair where I look out on the world every day.

And the world looks back in on me.

This is where my family sits, chats, laughs, and plays cards.

Well, actually, out there is where they mostly do that.

Can you see the ocean? It's a looong beach, but it's there.
(I took this one from my front porch so you'd see my view.)

And a little more of my view.

To the left...

To the right...

To the parking lot nearby. Wanna come visit?

PS. Actually, I should probably warn you off...Two kids and one parent are sick and coughing. Figures, eh? That's okay. We're making the best of it... =)

I couldn't resist your title when I read it in the sidebar at the Sanatorium. I was not disappointed. I am hoping to enjoy some bliss in the mountains, myself... just as soon as I can wrangle my babes into helping check everything of the list. Have a wonderful time!

What a great location - I know exactly where you are. LaMar and I love to come down there and do some walking along that long sidewalk. I hope your family recovers from their coughs soon and can fully enjoy the week. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Oh it sounds like so much fun! You know, the beach looks very much like a place here on the east coast we like to frequent (in Florida) called Deerfield Beach. It's very near Boca Raton. The trees, the sidewalk, the beach area--everything looks so similar. So much fun. Sorry there are some sick ones in the house, but I know they will mend fast with that fresh ocean breeze.

That sounds like a GREAT way to spend the time... nice, cool, overcast beach- family sick time. I'm sure you are NOT going to come down with this, and you will be the keeper and entertainer of the kids --isn't that what Grandma's are for?

I'm sitting here looking at the neat pictures and crying....yes,I'm still crying. My eyes are so red and they hurt like everything. I'm so sad that we had to come home after being there just two days and one night. I'm still feeling very rocky and afraid that we won't be coming back this year. Figures, doesn't it? I am so sorry that you won't be seeing our little Sully and Kristin either. But I can understand why his doctor says he can't be around anyone that is sick. You were so looking forward to it too. I'm just hoping that all the Blakes are well at their beach house. When you have a lot of people together, it's almost a given that someone is going to be sick, especially if there are a lot of kids. It's important to keep that little guy healthy.

The pictures make me realize how much we will be missing. We did enjoy the quietness of the day on the week days when everyone was out on the beach. Then we could visit with you one on one, or I guess I should say two on one. We probably won't see you now until Thankgiving. I just hope I feel okay by then. HA HA. I know you will have a great week. I'll call you later on to see how it is going.

Ugh! Being sick on vacation is just not fair! But the ocean looks divine and is beckoning me. One day I WILL make it out there. I love your view. Everything seems so peaceful and perfect for you.
